Reiki with Jill Chrystine

Reiki is a powerful yet gentle noninvasive, holistic hands on modality. Reiki began in Japan and it loosely translates to Rei-universal consciousness and Ki-life force energy (aka Prana, Chi/Qi,the life energy from Mother Earth that runs through us all living things.) The chakras and energy body of the practitioner are attuned to this conscious flow, which has allowed them to become a conduit for healing. The subtle energy is often felt as a warm or tingly sensation and causes the recipient to go into a state of relaxation, a state where self healing can occur.

Community Acupuncture with Jason Lee

Acupuncture is one of the oldest forms of healing originating in China as far back as 5,000 years ago. Although the technology has vastly improved, the art and science of acupuncture still rely on its early roots and all the knowledge and evidence that has been recorded since it's early days.
Practice: When using the Chinese Medical approach for acupuncture, an acupuncturist will ask several subjective questions to determine the issue their patient wants help with on a physical, mental, emotional, energetic or possibly spiritual level. The patient's pulse will be felt, tongue examined, and other characteristics or signs and symptoms will be noted and combined to determine a "pattern" of the patient's disharmony. Once the pattern has been identified, the acupuncturist will then know which set of points to use to help their patient. The patient will relax as very fine, sterile, single-use, disposable needles are inserted strategically into the body to harmonize the flow of blood and energy, which in Chinese Medicine is translated into as "Qi" (ch'ee). Quite often a patient will find a deeper state of relaxation and fall asleep encouraging the body to naturally heal itself.

Community Acupuncture is unique in that it is experienced in a dimly lit room alongside others who are also receiving acupuncture.
