Ryan Knickman has been practicing deep tissue trigger point therapy massage since 2007 when she graduated from Northwestern Health Sciences University. Trigger Point Therapy focuses on the fascia layers where the connective tissue inhibits blood flow or range of motion causing discomfort from blanket pressure or activities of daily living. Ryan has successfully assisted thousands of clients to alleviate and/or manage discomfort through the art of massage. She is a teacher and a healer who believes in the power of listening for understanding with a spirit of curiosity. Combined with over two decades of teaching and practicing Yoga she is sure to offer skillful insight in meaningful ways.

As Ryan works intuitively she also encourages your feedback throughout your sessions to maximize the benefits of your bodywork. She considers it an honor to be trusted with a clients care. Ryan’s goal is to meet a client where they are. If an individual is looking to find deeper insight in body and mind she will facilitate that exploration. If a client comes in and “just needs to relax”, she will hold space for that.

Trigger Point Therapy

Trigger Point Therapy focuses on the fascia layers where the connective tissue inhibits blood flow or range of motion causing discomfort from blanket pressure or activities of daily living. The objective of trigger point therapy is releasing or softening a muscle knot to reduce (or eliminate) the knot pain and associated pain. This release happens by applying various levels of pressure to muscle knots, and then stretching the affected areas through a complete range of motion.
